About Me
Hi there! I'm James, an engineering student at the University of Cambridge. Since I was 13, I have been optimising the design of spinning tops for spin duration. This engineering challenge is all about function over form in an age of unergonomic designer goods. I intend to push the limits of materials science and manufacturing technology without compromises. I'm a perfectionist and my goal is to make the best spinning tops possible. Everything I deliver will reflect this :)

HiPer Tops stands for High-Performance Spinning Tops. It is the brand under which I have been sharing my hobby with the world. Since 2016, I have grown a presence on YouTube, FaceBook and Instagram and now, this website! HiPer Tops is entirely run by myself. I research, design, build, test and sell spinning tops; write, film and edit videos and secure funding and IPRs.
